Daddy Daughter Dance an overwhelming success!

Almost 450 girls, dads, grandfathers, and/or step-dads were treated on Friday, May 21, 2021 to the 4th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance, hosted by the Greencastle – Antrim Education Foundation, at Tayamentasachta Environmental Center, with a Boots and Bling Theme.

Many little princesses arrived with gowns and cowgirl boots and hats, with their dads in cowboy hats as well; other Daddy/Daughter Couples color-matched.

Dancing, Magic Shows, Keepsake Photos, Crafts to take home, Food Station, Horse and Wagon Rides, Ice Cream (donated by Mikie’s Ice Cream), kept guests entertained throughout the evening. The highlight of the evening, for most of the girls, were the special guests: Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, who sang, danced, chatted with the guests, and posed for pictures throughout the evening.

F&M Trust once again was the Premier Sponsor, Red Carpet Sponsor was Graphics Universal; and the Horse and Wagon Sponsor was M&T Bank. Many other sponsors helped to underwrite the cost of the photos, food, crafts, princesses and entertainment. Pictures from the event can be viewed on the organization’s Facebook Page: Greencastle – Antrim Education Foundation.

Cindy Marconi, Daddy Daughter Committee Chair said “We were exceptionally pleased with the attendance, as well as the overwhelming feedback from the guests.” Dozens of community, business and student volunteers worked the event, as did the GAEF Board of Directors.

Proceeds from the event will be used to enhance educational opportunities for the students and teachers in the Greencastle – Antrim School District.
